This series, for those of you who may be visiting with us is all about evangelism, sharing your faith, speaking your testimony those who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you were to pole Christians on what scares them the most about being a Christ follower, I bet the overwhelming answer would be that most believers fear sharing the Gospel. They are afraid that they do not possess enough knowledge. They do not know the Bible well enough. They are afraid that they will be persecuted, fired, canceled, or shunned by their friends or co-workers. Some are afraid that they will sound unintelligent. They are afraid that if a debate breaks out that they will lose the battle, making themselves look foolish.   Spread The Word Soul Winning For The Savior Opening Illustration: I recently heard a story about a young man interviewing for a job at a movie theater. He was interviewing to be one of the ushers.  During the interview, the manager of the theater asked the young man, “what will you do if a fire breaks out in the theater?” The young man said, “oh don’t worry about me mister, Ill be just fine. I can get out of the theater all by myself”. Funny, that’s exactly how many Christians today respond would respond to a lost and dying world around them. If Christians today were asked, “what would you do if Jesus came back tomorrow”, most of them would respond saying, “oh don’t worry about me, Ill be just fine”.  But that’s not the point is it? Believers today have forgotten that they…we…are ushers. It is not enough just to get ourselves out of this dark and wicked world.   Easter Changes Everything Opening Illustration: Famed author John W. Yates II tells a fictional story about the Devil. As it turns out, the Devil was advertising a spiritual sale of sorts. The Devil was selling some of his most effective tools. These are tools that he had used on humanity throughout the ages and now he was putting them up for sale.
