We have been walking through Mark’s Gospel. We’ve been encountering the miracles and the mission of Jesus Christ. I have really enjoyed preaching through this Gospel because it reveals a side of Jesus that is often overlooked. We see a side of Jesus that challenges us. You see friends, if you read Mark’s Gospel with an open heart and an open mind you’ll see a man willing to do anything, a man willing to go anywhere, a man willing to cast off every societal norm and religious expectation to love people. Sometimes we see a Jesus willing to touch a man or woman with a horrible deformity or disease. In doing so, Jesus touch heals that person but makes Him unclean in the eyes of His peers.
