Storytellers: Andrew Introduction: I want to introduce you to someone this morning.  This is Amber. Amber works at Waffle House.  She served me breakfast on Wednesday.  I don’t know much about Amber but I do know one thing, Jesus loves Amber.  As I gave Amber my order, a waffle and double covered hash browns, I felt led to pray with her.   “Amber, how can I pray for you this morning?” A small question that led to a big conversation.  Amber immediately began to cry.  She was holding a pot of coffee and crying.  She told me about her story.  It was quite a story.  She asked that I pray for her husband.  She asked that I pray for her son.  She asked that I pray that God help her to hold her family together.   I took out the Peace of God tract that our church produces and I asked Amber the most important question that can ever be asked.  “Amber, do you know Jesus as your Savior?” Amber, ...

Storytellers: Jonah Illustration: Monster Fish My boys have recently gotten into fishing.  Several months ago they got new fishing rods.  For Christmas they got two tackle boxes.  They pretty much have everything they need to land the big one.  They love fishing so much that they wake up just about everyday and watch a show called “Monster Fish”.  The show chronicles the journey of famed fisherman Jeremy Wade.  Wade travels the world in search for the largest fish on planet earth.  He has caught some whoppers for sure.  In most cases, this fella goes to dangerous places and searches for the most dangerous fish around.  You know, the Bible is full of fish, fishermen, and whoppers.  Big whoppers.  We are all familiar with the stories of Jesus telling the disciples to cast their nets back into the water after a long day of catching nothing.  The disciples were obedient to the Master and they nearly sunk the ...

Storytellers: Noah Introduction: This morning we are starting the second sermon in a series entitled Storytellers.  During this time, we will take a look at various characters in both Old and New Testaments.  These characters had unusual relationships with God.  They walked with God in an intimate way.  They didn’t just walk with God, they also talked to God.  Their relationship with God was so good, so pure, so deep that it often spilled out into every corner of their life.  They began to share their “God Story” with everyone that came in contact with. Practical Application: So, what is your “God Story”?  Your “God Story” is story of how God saved you and transformed your life.  Do you remember that moment when God came into your life? Perhaps it was when you were young.  Perhaps God saved you during your teenage years or maybe when you were an adult.  The challenge this morning is to simply be willing to share your “God ...
